AP: Bush Campaign to Recut Doctored Ad
Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 04:32 PM by highplainsdem

President Bush's campaign acknowledged Thursday that it had doctored a photograph used in a television commercial and said the ad will be re-edited and reshipped to TV stations.

Editing to include their bogus "explanation":

McKinnon said a video editor he declined to identify was told to edit the picture to focus on a young boy waving a flag. On his own initiative, the editor removed the podium and copied the faces, McKinnon said.

"I didn't even know it was done," he said. The doctoring was first revealed on an Internet site. "There was no intention on anybody's part to try to represent anything that wasn't true," McKinnon said.

Yes, of course they'd be so careless with an ad released just before the election. They're just so busy. No one working for the campaign would ever notice that a photo was altered...

1. Begala challenged why the soldiers were being used at all.
He says our soldiers are to serve our nation, NOT the Republican Party.

9. George W. Bush took responsibility for the ad
It was the last sentence in teh ad:

"I'm George W. Bush and I approve this message"

So which is it, George? Were you lying then or are you lying now?
