I thought Nader was supposed to be a write-in in my state. He wasn't.

I don't see how anyone could write him in. It was touch screen voting and nowhere did I see a button or a place where I could put in a write-in candidate. Nowhere.

I'm in TX. Is this happening elsewhere? Seriously, not a single spot for it.

1. Good.
This election is too important. Nobody should be writing in Nader or anyone else. Normally, I believe in hearing diverse voices and having alternative choices, but not this time. This one is just too important to screw around.

2. Who cares?
Honestly, I think write in votes are about the stupidest things I've heard of. What the hell is the point, to show up at the polls, to cast a vote that in many states isn't even counted? They are absolutely worthless and is the closest thing to throwing a vote away.

3. The reason I ask
is because this is GOOD. What about other states where he is supposed to be a write-in? If the electronic touch screens aren't set up for any other options except Kerry or bush, then you CAN'T write him in, even if you wanted to.

I'm interested in hearing from other states and people who have voted early where he was supposed to be a write in or on the ticket. Was he?

5. Ah OK
My fault.

I think I'm way to edgy over this election. I think you're right. If there isn't even a write in category, he can't be a problem.

Unfortunately though he's on the states where he can make a difference - IA, MN, WI, NM.

6. I know and that does suck.
I wonder if any of those states have early voting and we can find out if he is actually on the ballot. I was surprised to see that we didn't even have an option to write in.

And don't worry about it, we are ALL edgy!

4. Why burn up a gallon of gas, wait in line for an hour to vote for a loser?

7. I'm not saying anyone should.
I'm just saying I found it interesting that he was SUPPOSED to be a write in in TX and you CAN'T write anyone in on our touch screens. Absolutely no way.

If this is happening in other states, he is less of a problem. I know he's not much of a worry here.
