2. That Biden/McPeak conference call today was explosive
Biden sounded like he was about to bust a gut. Not a lot of questions from the press folk on the line. All the questions got answered.

16. Biden always sounds like he's about to bust a gut
I hope Holbrooke gets Sec. of State.

Why are always pushing for and hyping Sen. Biden?

21. Holbrook is a fuckup- and too laid back for a tuff job like SecState
Edited on Wed Oct-27-04 03:31 PM by priapis
holbrook is a fuckup.

when the bush camp today says "even his top foreign policy advisor says we dont know the facts" they're talking about holbrook's comment on O'Rielly's show last nite.

holbrook is a bit too laid back, soft, for a tuff guy position like SS or NSA.

in fact if you listen to the fox anchors, you'll detect a consistent thread: make it clear that holbrook might be sec of State in any Kerry admin. because he doent come off well, and fox wants to dissuade people from voting for kerry obviously.

OR even derisively shared a laugh with a bush operative last nite after holbrooks appearence. he again mentioned that Holbrook might be SS in Kerrys admin. the Bushie said "thats quite a scarey thought" and they both snikkered.

then again, biden is a hot head.

Why is it that when I read a post like yours
I can almost guarantee that the poster doesn't have a profile Icon.

7. Of course they question your patriotism, General McPeak
just like they do Wesley Clark's. They question the patriotism of all military who dare to admit they're voting for a Democrat - meanwhile - an awful lot of Democrats serving in Iraq & Afghanistan and around the world.

8. Yes, of course they're going to question his patriotism
Since they have none of their own, it doesn't mean a damn thing to them to trash someone else's.

12. General Merrill "Tony" McPeak is a real hero.
I'm proud to say that he is also an Oregonian. Two weeks ago he flew his experimental plane to southern Oregon to address our Veterans for Kerry group. This guy is impressive and totally devoid of BS. He stated that after getting to know John Kerry he felt the "..we just might land on our feet."

11. I suspect the General delivers that line privately minus the "baloney".
And adding a reference to his cattle excriment of choice.

I wish we could get that out Nationally in an ad or something..

One of those 527 ads? This quote by General Tony McPeak says it all so succinctly!

23. Yes Sir they did and do question your patriotism along with every
vet or military person that has ever served. My proof? Faux Purple Heart Band-aids at THEIR FUCKING CONVENTION!! They are literally laughing at those Medals you earned, Sir. They have no shame.

I knew when I saw this guy on stage at the Democratic Convention that Gen McPeak was a man NOT to be fucked with, you could just see it. I was surprised to find out later he was/is(?) a republican, and that speaks to Kerry's appeal more than any other thing I've seen/heard/read anywhere else.
