Their base is comletely inpervious to reality. They believe what they believe, and we just have to outvote them. That's our only hope.

Bush's base is absolutely impervious to reality. I've maintained this for a long time. No scandal, no exposure, no proof of lies and corruption on any scale will ever sway them.

Think I'm exaggerating? Watch the first debate again and realize that even after their leader was humiliated as a smirking moron who did not know the issues at all, they still supported him - even the ones who were realistic enough to admit that Kerry blew him away in the debate.

There is just NO HOPE for these people. We CANNOT convince them. We have to outvote them. Numerical superiority and turnout are the ONLY way to defeat them.

2. Actually, Powell's

remarks are correct. This has always been US policy to Taiwan . . . PRC shouldn't try to unite by force nor should TW do anything to upset the status quo.

A couple years back Bush fucked up and misstated US policy towards Taiwan, by not citing the second point above. Shows what an idiot he is.

Powell didn't end US support for Taiwan in that statement.

4. Hell, Robertson IS a liar. Everybody knows that. Calling him one actually

makes me respect Bush a little. Maybe if he would have stayed out of politics he would be a normal person.

5. Robertson is a politician

and therefore comfortable with deception however I believe that he was more truthful regarding Bush's statement regarding no casualties than Bush was.

Oh, and their base will not hold. It's already crumbling.
