I watched him when his was primarily a financial show... In the past couple years he's made a strong appeal to moderates and sane conservatives to reject the B*sh kool aid.

He kept an ongoing gauge of indictments / arrests / convictions of corporate criminals ala Enron, and his ongoing expose of "exporting america" has helped the cause in a substantial way (imo)

His "broken borders" segment details where the current admin dropped the ball re: national security.
