Why is Bush in Colorado?
The Greeley stumpede

Greeley - President Bush on Monday accused Sen. John Kerry of twisting facts to blame him for not capturing terrorist leader Osama bin Laden during the invasion of Afghanistan.

Campaigning in a state that supported him in 2000, Bush said that he and Kerry differ on every issue in the campaign, from foreign policy to domestic issues.

It's never a good sign when a candidate has to campaign a week before the election in a state that should have been locked up months ago.

9. In some ways its worse
I don't think PA is swing. It looks like Shrub has good reason to be in Colorado however. Ohio, Florida, and upper mid-west is where Big-Dawg and the gang needs to focus.

4. I think Bush is in Colorodo
because Kerry just went there. Stategic move on Kerry's part to keep Bush out of Ohio. In southern Oregon, like clockwork, these candidates matched each other's moves. If they can get Bush to Hawaii, that might be a check!

5. Did anyone hear Jay Severin on Imus? He said essentially the same thing
Severin is a really, really, bad guy. Very manipulative and mean. But quite often he gives unique insight into the political goings on. I haven't listened to his show for a while. I only did during summers before and this previous summer I was listening to Air America.

But this morning on MSNBC I caught him and he was saying that Bush being in Colorado said what needed to be said about the campaign and that he thought Kerry had the edge.

8. They said Bush is going to PA
two more times or something. THe last time is on Monday. Kerry should stop by PA AFTER BUSH LEAVES so that he can undo whatever damage Bush tries to do. They said they believe Gore won last time because he made a stop in PA right before voting or something.

7. Colorado is supposed to be a solid
Red State. For Bush* to be campaigning there at this stage would be like Kerry campaigning in California. PA is a swing State and they have both been there equally.

10. T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!!
It just wasn't Colorado...it was Greely...you can't get any redder in that state unless you bought some Red Man chew. It's the ideal place for the Bubble Tour...not a dissenter for miles around.

I have told fellow observers watch where these campaigns go in the final week...they're using their internal polling and making ad buys and sending candidates to either grab a state (like Arkansas or Nevada), if things are going well or running to shore up a sinking state (which is what Bunnypants has been doing for the past two weeks).

Any trips outside of Iowa & Wisconsin Bunnypants makes from here on out is a rear-guard action...to shore up one of his 2000 states, not to move ahead. Also notice where he goes inside that state...it's usually in the safest areas they can find...where they can bus in the faithful and control all aspects of the event. Purely Orwellian.
