A HindI (Hindu is a religion, but I know you meant no harm).

After 9/11, we did not go out in public together for a while, and he was terrified of taking our son out alone (our son is lighter skinned and with brown hair).

That's not so in my area, where there is a very active, very Democratic Indian community. Many still remain Conservative, but even they are po'ed at Bunnypants for not finishing what he started in Afghanistan, not taking out OBL, etc...

I worked with the Hindu/Pak community (their term) in Chicago...and it was interesting how that community operated considering it was mixed between Moslems and Hindus.

There's a local family that operates several convenience stores that were physically attacked during the days following 9/11 and their kids took a lot of verbal abuse. One gentleman, who wore a turban to work, had to stay home for over 6 months since he wouldn't go to work without his turban even if he needed the money.

The cruelty of people is incredible...especially the stereotyping that goes on for partisan purposes.

I'd imagine many Indians would be PO'd at this regime for it's coddling of Musharaf (Bunnypants finally remembered his name) and letting Khan go virtually scott free in his nuclear program.

The original Jews, to my knowledge were a semitic people--but then so were the Arabs. Thus, Arabs and Jews have the same ethnicity. In fact both Arabs and Jews trace their ancestry back to biblical Abraham through different sons.

Oh, and Arab is not equal to Muslim. There are Christian, Jewish, etc. Arabs.
