5. The tides of war
In November 2000, the stock market was up, the Democratic leadership of Bill Clinton had given this country the freedom to concoct all of the bullshit that the Republican Revolution had so spawned, and many middle-class citizens still had some scrap of affluence in their lives. Now, the stock market is still in ups and downs (and downs quite recently). Many middle-class people have no home, money, car, or even their families in some cases. Many upper-middle class people lost their retirement, and we all lost personal freedom in this nation as a result of the Patriot Acts. Wal-Mart, Enron, and several other choice corporate despots have run this country to economic slavery and ruin. And who do we have to thank for this, even in the eyes of most Americans? None other than George Bush. Don't be afraid of a lack of participation. Voter registration is now at all-time highs. Early voting has people lined up at the booths. If history repeats itself, we will have so many votes for the Democratic party that the GOP won't be able to disqualify them fast enough. And if ol' Sproul and Associates gets brought up on charges, the Supreme Court might just not take such a liking to Jim Crow, Inc. since the Patriot acts tried to curtail their power...

8. Iowa
We registered 66,000 Dems, thugs 22,000, 12,000 Deaniacs or Independents. Of the 326,000 absentee ballots requested...
199,973 turned in- 70% of those are registered Democrat-
Get out there and door knock this weekend because the thugs have a lot of ground to make up here and they will be out in force here in Iowa. They are going to lie like dogs too. I was amazed at how many people don't know thing one about bush or his policies but they think they know everything about Kerry. Point being... Loyalty oaths,50% of Bushies think he supports the Kyoto accords etc. Dispel the myths even if we have been talking about them here for 6 months. The mainstream media isn't/hasn't reported much of anything and people don't know about voter suppression in FLA last time for example. My standard statement is.. did you know... Go get em!

2. I totally agree.
I really think this time there will be a large turnout. But like you say, if there isn't and Democrats get lazy and don't vote, well then I don't want to hear it the next four years. (But I am hopeful it will not come to that)!

6. Uh-huh. Strong Dem turnout will make it much harder for them
to steal it from us. If our turnout is weak, we'll have no excuses.

Go Dems.
