Do any workers have the day off on November 2nd?
The United Auto Workers have the day off on election day, which is why I feel good about Michigan. Does anyone here know of any other unions who have clauses in their contracts with employers giving workers the day off on Nov. 2nd?

1. I start work at 11PM and am taking the day (night?) as vacay
Regardless of the outcome, I will be in no frame of mind to work.

2. Not the day ...

I was told today I need to take my accumulated vacation time before the end of the year, and December is not a good time to take it. So, that leaves November. I decided I'll take the day after off -- the day of and the day before are no-no days for time off due to the time of the month -- as one of the days I need to take.

3. Not In Utah
I don't even get an hour off to vote. I'll have to do it on my own damn time.

Why do I live in this fucking sea of red?

4. When I was self employed throughout the 80s
I closed shop on election day in Presidential years, and late start any other election.
