46. It was a fairly common accent in parts of the south
now dying out.

We don't all say y'all, fixin' ta, etc.

Try New Orleans. There must be at least 15 extremely distinct accents in different parts of the city, not counting minority accents.

53. What accent? I'm from the south, and she didn't have a southern
accent. Some characters in the sitcom did, but not Aunt Bea. She sounded sort of midwestern to me....a place that is pretty neutral, accent wise. Andy Griffith had a southern accent (his natural accent). Barney did not. Otis did not. Ernest T DEFINITELY did, but that was acting; he's not southern.

Why would an animal activist vote for Bush? And she seems smart too and was so talented. What could she possibly see in Bush*? Oh well. On the other hand, I really would have thought Andy Griffith was a Bush supporter for sure. He seems so "conservative."

the most thorough person. though he sure was curious so maybe he would have come across some of the bush scandals and been appalled. plus he likely would have been swayed by john eisenhowers words of support for kerry.

no matter - i give floyd a pass on this one but hes the only one.

34. they've been public for over 25 years...
...and 2004 has broken every record in terms of the number of people donating and the amounts. So I hope that calms some of your fears on that front.

It is much for citizens to know where campaign money is coming from than to be in the dark. The fact is, when a citizen makes a donation to a candidate or PAC, they are in effect attempting to influence an election. It's not sinister, but it IS our right to know who, where, and how anyone uses their influence to affect an election.
