Bob Barr on CNN "Kerry was smart to bring Clinton out to speak."
"Heaven knows we have had our differences in the past :eyes: (no shit!), but Clinton is the most POWERFUL Democrat in the country." OK, let me faint now! Bob Barr has left me speechless lately. Hmmm.

5. Nobody wants to back a losing horse.
Watch the Republican hacks closely this week. If they're starting to talk about "uniting the country," they're definitely seeing some grim internal polling.

19. I think Bob Barr will vote for Kerry. Bob was sure against the Patriot Act
provisions that went overboard.

2. Oooh but the GOP talking point is;
"Look at how desperate Kerry is! He has to bring out Clinton!"

15. hmmm....

I suppose they'll criticize Kerry for bringing out an audulterer to speak for him. I suppose the Republicans will take the line that Giuliani's mistress was technically a "common law wife" since she was living in the mayor's mansion for so long!!!!

4. Yea, I have been quite surprised by him lately.
I still don't like him (and I live in Ga.) but he seems to have mellowed a little since he's out of office.

7. So now when Kerry wins...
The freepers can blame Clinton for this, too!

"It's not fair! Clinton won the race for Kerry! Waaaa!"

Please. I'm glad to see Big Dog up and active again, but he's not the reason Kerry's gonna win.

9. To be fair, Bob Barr has been one of the few politicians to
to speak out consistently against the so-called "Patriot" Act.

17. Not consistently enough
He voted for the damn thing, then opposed it as soon as we (I lived in his/John Linder's district at the time) voted his ass out of office.

Wait. Is that a flip-flop?

20. Thanks for the information. I didn't realize he had voted for it.
On the other hand, if we hold our politicians to that standard, very few of either party would make the cut, including Kerry and Edwards.

11. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...
Barr is the very definition of "paleoconservative". Paleocons like Barr have NO respect for neocons like Shrub and his ilk.

For this reason, and this reason alone, this doesn't surprise me one bit.

12. Of Course, Sir
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 02:02 PM by The Magistrate
Barr knows President Clinton beat him and his traitorous crew into paste, and these reactionary wretches all experience powerful urges to slaver over the boot that has kicked them thoroughly.

Those repriles who took the lead in impeaching President Clinton have mostly found their political careers at an end....

"I've got a list of those who'd never be missed."

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

13. It's simple...
The white 75% of Bob Barr hates Clinton.

The African-American 25% of Barr can't help but love Clinton.

Every once in a while, the 25% has its say!

14. From what I read Barr's not even voting for Bush
He's not voting for Kerry either, but that's beside the point.

I think he stated that he's voting Libertarian.

18. Badnarik
I think the Libertarians might be very pleasantly surprised when reading the election results on November 3rd.

A lot of old-time conservatives (like Barr) just can't bring themselves to vote for Bush. They won't stay home, though - that's not in their nature. They'll vote for Badnarik as a protest vote.

We might very well be seeing the end of the GOP as we know it, as moderates and old-school conservatives flee the party in droves.
