How motivated are people like you?
What demographic do you speak for? How motivated are they to support (or oppose) Kerry?

For example, I think I have a good handle on how gay, middle-aged urban people feel. They are extremely motivated, and will probably turn out in larger numbers for Kerry than they did for Gore.

7. I had to cover my mouth so as to not wake the rest of the family.
Funniest subject line I've seen in ages.

Why am I laughing? I could write the same thing. Only in my late 40's. LOL? ;)

2. I'm in the under-30 crowd (28)
I'm just barely in the pro-Kerry group as far as I know. :-)

3. I'm a retired teacher
I think most teachers are traditionally backers of Democrats. We like smart people. :-)

My husband is a Korean Vet and we both think Vets will come out big for Kerry.

And we both think gays will support Kerry as well as other informed, thoughtful people.

6. Midwestern stay-at-home moms
I'm very motivated for Kerry. Some other moms I know are afraid of terrorism and are voting for Bush out of fear. But a lot of us HATE BUSH and want someone sensible as president.

8. Young Professionals in College Town
We are beyond motivated to get Kerry elected as president. I am friends with many young professionals, Mothers (Mothers Opposing Bush), and even undergraduates here at Penn State University. The Kerry support is tremendous. I went to a GOTV training session last night with my sister in law, and there were at least 150 people there. It was awesome! I have never participated in election politics before, and have never volunteered time and money for a campaign (and neither has my sister in law). The student base in energized and there are Kerry signs everywhere! Now, it is a college town, but it also in very conservative central PA -- and the university itself is not at all liberal.

9. Gay couple in the 'burbs
We're all for Kerry as are almost all of our friends. We know that our basic rights are at stake here. We've been together for nearly 13 years here and we still have less rights than a couple married in Vegas by an Elvis impersonator during a drunken night on the town. The majority of gays will vote for Kerry, if they vote at all... It's so hard to get some people interested, even when it means so much.

Tim

10. Well I'm surprised actually....
quite a few in my 30-something Southern big city existence are pretty motivated.

I gotta share with y'all....this weekend i was out at one of my favorite bars.

I was tlaking to an acquaintance of mine who workerd there, and we were catchign up since it had bene a while. after chit-chatitng a bit he came out of his keryr closet, and we had this great conversation about what's going on and what the future could bring us, if we let Bush stay. We shared resources - i told hima bout DU, and he is currently trying to get his family on board. (they're bush supporters). He's very excited about voting, and so am i, and i don't thinke ither of us have ever voted before. we were complacent last time around, pretty much assuming gore would win. no ASSumptions this time around.
