UPDATE: Kerry charms crowd in Pueblo
http://www.gazette.com/display.php?sid=1300369

"PUEBLO — The man trying to be the 44th president of the United States charmed an enthusiastic crowd of supporters here Saturday morning with a speech tailor-made for the working-class, largely Hispanic audience.

“Vote not for your fears, but for your hopes for this country,” said U.S. Sen. John Kerry in a 25-minute speech at the historic Pueblo Depot.

Both camps are paying special attention to Colorado. Last week, President George W. Bush visited Colorado Springs, where Republicans outnumber Democrats 2-1, and he’ll be in Greeley on Monday. Vice President Dick Cheney stumped in Grand Junction Saturday.

In Pueblo, Democrats hold a 2-1 advantage on the GOP.

. . ."

I LOVE that headline.

Kerry "charms" the crowd. Whoopeee!!

1. I saw it live on C-SPAN
and that is a very accurate description of what he did. His daughter Vanessa Kerry also charmed the crowd with some stories from the campaign trail.

8. Damn!! Did anyone who was watching the rally on C-Span notice
the background talking (I don't know if it was a camera man or what) while Kerry was onstage? Also, when he was finishing up, some reporter started to do his, well, "reporting" about the event, saying something about someone having a stroke there, something collapsing and something about will Kerry have better luck here than the last time (I think this is what he said before C-Span cut off the sound of the guy talking over Kerry).

That is a huge crowd! Guys, I think turn-out on 11/2 is going to be monumental!!

4. Old person here...
It takes me back to the days of Kennedy-Nixon. Kerry is dynamic; Bush is, well, shrubbery.
