Brothers and Sisters these people are evil
My daughter and I just came back a little while ago from canvasing for Moveon.org. I can't tell you how happy some of the elderly people were to meet us. They were so appreciative and their stories were incredible. I didn't realize how much their benefits have been cut. If you don't believe me, go out and talk to some of them. And then, not 5 minutes after I got home I got a phone call. It was a recording. It said something like, "Did you get a phone call from Jane Fonda? Jane Fonda negociated with North Vietnam. And now she is telling you how to vote? Tell Jane Fonda to stay out of New Mexico politics. This message was paid for by the Republican National Party." Anyway, that was the jest of it. I am still shaking. I am so pissed.

1. A lot of older people have Jane Fonda's exercise tapes
Don't worry oldtimer1942. These last minute desperation moves by BushCo will backfire.

People don't care about Jane Fonda. :)

2. Im glad that canvassing went well...and i HATE
telephones in general :) so I'd be mad about ANY campaign calls, but that would have especially pissed me off.

4. No, not yet. But, in 2000 I got a call from the NRA urging me to vote.
...."because Al Gore wants to take our guns away."

There is nothing these idiots won't stoop to in order to corrupt this country's political process. They want to win at all costs.

Liars and cheats...all of them!

6. Could have been worse ...
Just think what might have happened if you wore a shirt that said "Protect Our Civil Liberties" to a Bush campaign rally.

Who are these people? What are they doing to America? :scared:

7. I canvassed in my town a couple of weeks ago and had some moran
tell my husband and me that James Bond would be Secretary of State in a Kerry administration. We looked at each other with :wtf: looks on our faces, which caused him to elaborate. The ahole went on a mini-rant about Hanoi Jane at which time my husband and I both realized that we heard him wrong. Jane Fonda makes puke heads explode, which is why I'm writing her name in on my ballot for one of the categories that has no Dem running.

24. Are you serious??? Someone accosted you like that?
That's just incredibly RUDE! Where do you live? In my polite part of the country, women just purse their lips a bit and look away when they see my Women For Kerry dogtag.. but the majority tell me that it's the coolest, ever.

I'm sorry you had to be bothered that way.

14. I'm thinking of adding him to my buddy list...
...if one "Jane Fonda" comment can set him off like that, I could find enough around here in an hour or two that would really send him over the edge...I just hope this Viking Phoenix boy is back on his meds soon.

16. The whole Jane Fonda thing is SUCH
a red herring. Everyone knows that except bush's slobbering base and he already HAS their votes, so I think it's quite amusing this group in NM has been wasting their time and money with recordings like that! LOL!

26. Hey corsair, Jane Fonda spent more time in Vietnam than Bush did
You aren't a Bush Lover are you? And how much time did you spend in Vietnam? (just wondering, since I'm female and I wasn't old enough at the time to be in service, but my husband spent his time in hell there for an unjust war.)

"Anyway, that was the jest of it."

The word is GIST. But I only point it out because JEST actually fits the gop so well. Except jesting is suppose to be funny. These guys are just evil.

30. I was really pissed when I posted the thread
JFK was included with the bit about Jane Fonda negociating with the Viet Cong. If anyone else has heard the recording I hope they will vouch for me. It was real. I did get that call.
