Bush is gonna HAVE to try and steal the thunder from Clinton Monday.
Watch for almost anything. I predict this is freaking them out. They know they're just about cooked in PA. Clinton is very popular in Philadelphia. And I understand he's going right from there to South Florida.

Bush absolutely cannot let this this media coverage explode on Clinton. Which it will! All the stations will probably cover part or all of it live. That will dominate the news Monday.

Then when he goes to Florida, they'll be all over him there too. That will be headlines Tuesday.

Bush is going to be desperate to prevent this coverage. Be on the lookout for just about anything.

10. They're probably spending the weekend
Readying the nukes.

Expect the terra terra terra/duct tape-plastic sheeting alert to go red right when Kerry (or Clinton, depending who's first) starts to speak.

2. South Florida?

Really? I heard that b/c of his heart, Clinton can't fly, that's
why he's doing PA, because he can drive there.

6. Given the fact of his recent major surgery, I sure hope so! (Unless for
some reason his Docs advised against it, of course...I am not a medical person, so I don't know if there might be risks inherent in the shot for someone so recently out of open heart surgery.)

7. Yeah, a 'major speech' like his drivel in NJ....which was nothing beyond
his babbling idiot self bumbling through his usual stump speech and trying to appear decisive by spanking his lectern.
Golly he is SO impressive....not.

5. Yes, you're right about that....they will try their
damnedest to "steal Clinton's Thunder"..bush will accuse Bill of pandering to his Heart Operation!

I'm amazed Clinton is going to Florida because that means he's going to fly and I heard Drs are leery of letting their patients fly when recuperating from major surgery!

11. I heard it last night on the news
That he's leaving right from there to go to "Florida and South Florida." I was surprised too. And happpeeeeee.

How much you want to bet that's what they're trying to come up with down in Crawford this weekend? Some way to prevent Bush from being totally overshadowed in the news.

They're not campaigning Sunday right?

15. Just a guess, but I'm thinking that BoyGeorge will turn up in
Baghdad. He is desperate to take the spotlight off of the last real president this country has had in the last 20 years. He is taking Sunday off, for travel, maybe, and he'll appear in a cammo suit hauling an M16 (his handlers could give him a water pistol and tell him its a M16 and he wouldn't know..) and then strut around like the chickenshit he is. (He might hit some VA hospitals, etc. on the way over and back - for the troops, of course) Bush will appear around soldiers who have already sworn the loyalty oath - can't say anything bad about the Chimp in Chief, then he'll get on his little plane and fly back protesting all the way how hard the work is.

If BushCo DOES make a trip to Baghdad in the 10 days - I hope the voters of this country make sure that the RNC pays for the expenses of flying that bunch over and back. It will be all political BS.

17. Drudge says he's breaking this big story about Kerry tonight
and says it's "massive." Saw this on INDC (http://www.indcjournal.com/archives/001195.php)--

Cryptic Alert
Speaking of "lies," keep an eye on the front page of the Washington Times this coming Monday.

UPDATE: It's something that the Kerry campaign will be forced to address regarding a previous criticism of Bush's foreign policy. That's all.

UPDATE: Redstate is my source for the fact that the WaTimes is running with the story, though not the story itself. More detail when the story breaks.

US administration visits anger Democrats

1 hour, 12 minutes ago

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Top members of President George W. Bush (news - web sites)'s administration are frequent visitors to key swing states ahead of the November 2 US election bringing accusations from Democrats that the taxpayer is subsidising the Bush campaign.

National security adviser Condoleezza Rice (news - web sites) will go to Florida on Monday to speak to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Rice has given speeches in several key states to defend the administration's war on terror, US media said.

21. I don't think they've got anything ...
Edited on Sat Oct-23-04 07:41 PM by Joolz
that will trump Bill Clinton's first public appearance since his surgery. They WILL try, of course, but short of something along the lines of an epic, tragic, world-shaking event, I don't think there's a damn thing they can do (not to say I think they wouldn't try something like that, but I don't think they've had time to orchestrate anything of such proportion in time to coincide with Bill's appearance). The Big Dawg is back and they're shakin' in their boots. hehehe gotta love that, actually...
