Kerry: "Vote your hopes not your fears"
"Give me the chance to make you proud"
"Give me the chance to trust the American people"
"Trust me and I will have your back"

I wonder if Repubs watch Bush and want to cry for hope of the America he speaks of. This is what Kerry does for me. I want to live in the America he speaks of. A loss on November 2nd will feel like a death of a dream. A loss in the family. I know that if Kerry loses many here will hate him and there will be a million posts on how someone else could have beat Bush, but for me a Kerry loss will feel like a death of the future. But imagine a win people. I honestly think my joints will hurt just a little less knowing the pain might end some day and that my children may not suffer what I am. That's what's on this ballot for me.

2. When he said that- "vote your hopes and not your fears"
I thought perfect summation of why I've gotten active in politics this election cycle

Contrast this line with a stump B* speech which is filled with fear and hate and low blows

4. i feel like that about gore
Edited on Sat Oct-23-04 11:24 AM by bullimiami
i know a lot of people blamed him. he did the best he knew how. he won. sadly he wasnt expecting or prepared for what the bush crime family would do to corrupt that election.
im sad for what should have been. what a backward waste of 4 years weve had to endure and for tens of thousands of people in this world their lives have been shattered and will never be repaired and the blame for this lays squarely on bush*.

i think kerry is prepared to fight. i think he is prepared to call us to do what is necessary to take our country back. a fair election he would win easily. we need to turn out and make it obvious that this is our country. and if they try to pull one, like in florida when they were ready to send repuke electors even if gore won, then we need to go into the streets and deny it, like they did with milosivec.

5. I honestly think after Gore had it taken from him people didn't care.
They thought what's the worst that could happen in four years. I think now they know. People were very cynical in 2000, not because they were angry as we are but because they thought government had no effect in their lives. I think some people see more clearly now that government has an effect positive or negative and they will make a choice rather than sit on the sidelines of something they once thought they had no stake in.
