The issue of faith
Well people it's going down to wire. The choices are clear. On one side we have promise of a change of direction, but a change of direction does come with risk. On the other side we have without a doubt, more of the same. Pres. Bush has offered no apologies for any mistakes made or not even acknowledgement of any mistakes made. His record has absolutely proven no change will bring us more risk.

How is it this close is beyond me, but it is. I personally believe it comes to faith. The president's only argument for re-selection is his faith. And since he has faith you should have faith in him to make decisions that affect the entire world. While not admitting mistakes that doesn't mean mistakes haven't been made. I am a Christan and I have a unwavering faith in The heavenly father, the son and the holy sprit. I do not know if the president has the same faith as I do but I doubt he has. But his argument to many many people who do have faith as I do is because we share the same faith we should have faith in him.

I guess no matter who you vote for you are putting a measureable amount of faith in that person. But I feel personally the faith that the president is asking for is to be reserved for God. And why have faith in the president? He doesn't have faith in the people. He doesn't have a enough press conferences to keep the public informed on the policies he implements. He doesn't have enough faith in the public to show them the real costs of war, in human lives and dollars. He doesn't have enough faith in the public to invite everyone to his rallys. Instead he chooses to screen his audience, so they are friendly to him. A true leader will lead everyone and will stand accountable to the entire public.

People with faith are sometimes are easly mislead,I hate to say. I believe they are being horribly mislead by this president as is the rest of the American public. If you are not a religous person it is sometimes hard to understand the faith of people who are. Not all religous people are not blind followers but some are. In bible belt areas of America many many people have went through generations of certain beliefs rammed in their head. Couple that with states who do not prioritize education and that leaves a public ripe for the picking. But to those people I challenge you to look at the results of the presidents policies. Do you believe they are just? Do you believe they are christan? Do you believe they are fair? Do you believe they are well thought out? Do you really want more of the same?

God put all of us on this planet. It is his will that we all get along. Throughout history we have proven we can't. But do the president's policies do any thing to make us get along any better. We are creating more enemies. We are turning our back on friends we have had for decades. We are turning our backs on the weakest elements of our own soceity. How are we ever going to have at least a chance of getting along when we conduct ourselves like this. Mr. persident this is not Gods will and I have no faith in you at all.

Can John Kerry make everyone get along? I have no faith he can. But I do have faith he can change the tone and direction. To undo the worlds history in 8 years should he get reelected would be a miricle. And I believe miricles are reserved for beings higher than politicans. Our nation is sliding now in the wrong direction. You hear people talk and write about what the feeling out in the real world is. And the feeling I feel is one of impaitent people who whine and are too demanding. They are willing to settle for anything even if they do not agree with it as long as they get thrown a bone. We do not demand accountabilty or competence. Most would rather see a strut and rowdy country song. In the back of their mind sometimes they feel guilty about this but then a pundit will come on TV and tell you a poll was taken and there are many people just like you. So they don't change they just get worse. Look at the talking heads on both sides are they doing Gods will? Can a christian honestly say Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity , Ann Coulter or Bill Maher are doing gods will(at least Bill Maher doesn't claim to be)?

The time has come for christians search for truth and put the faith back where it belongs. Not with politicans and pundits, but God and our own true values and our own personal responsibilty to persure Gods will. A decision will have to be made in coming days. I say it is a critical decision. A decision of life and death and right and wrong. A decision of holding pepole accountable for misleading. A decision of taking the risk of change or the risky policies we have endured over past 3-4 years. A choice to go along or stand tall and demand more. A choice of hope or a choice of fear. A choice of trusting men who have proven they can't be trusted or choosing men who have yet to lose your trust. But for me it comes down to Gods will. and yes I have faith it is Gods will that ,John Kerry be elected president of the United States of America. So the choice I make is for John Kerry . Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven Amen.

1. It would come as a surprise to many repugs...
...but many Dems share your feelings. They haven't cornered the market on faith. And for those of us who believe, it is incumbent on us to reclaim our faith from those who use the language of religion to undermine the spirit of religion. I pray on a daily basis that He will remove this pretender from the seat of power. Thy will be done.
