2. "Not my homie."
What a stupid way to say you don't * in the WH anymore. I have no respect for Eminem anyway so I'm not surprised. He's a dumbass.

3. I wouldn't consider Eminem my "homie" either............
Edited on Sat Oct-23-04 07:28 AM by DumpGump
I don't like his "music" and his foray into politics is ludicrous, but a vote against Bush is a vote against Bush. If he can reach even a few of the young in this country and convince them to THINK about the choices and participate in our Democracy, then more power to him.

4. I like his music...
First, you need to understand the words, he tells it how it is with both sarcasm and humor. Second, he is not a dumbshit as many would classify him. Third, I find his music poetic in some respect. Many people said the same about Jim Morrison back way back when.

Many fall into two categories you either love or hate him. I used to fall into the second until I actually listened. I am not a huge rap fan, it just isn't my kind of music, I prefer more classic rock like the Stones, Pink Floyd, or Sting. But maybe that why I have come to respect what he does because if you compare the music of those three to Eminem you see many similarities. He is just taking a different road to get to the same point.

OK he doesn't like * and wants him gone, but what if he endorsed Kerry, can you hear the talk- Rapper Eminem who uses vulgar lyrics, slams everyone loves Kerry and is going to vote for him. Is this who you want for President? They must have the same values!!! the spin would not be a positive for Kerry. So I believe Eminem took the high road and played this smart, he slammed * but is smart enough to know he can't publicly say he is voting for Kerry.

7. Music is subjective
I am not going to argue a point concerning music preferences. Some people love country but I can't personally stand it same with opera. It sounds like cats screaming to me. It is all a matter of taste. But you can't claim him to be a dumbass because he found an outlet which gave him a stage, he marketed & packaged himself well and he reached out and found middle America which brought rap music to areas it wasn't before. Controversy is the name of the game in music, just look at Madonna. She is a chameleon. She is constantly re-packaging herself to get noticed. It is something a successful person will do be it a CEO, actor or musician. They find a niche and develop it until it time to move on. He made money on something he was good at and became successful because of it. He is just telling a story and right now that type of story is selling.

8. I can call him a dumbass when
he states that he wants * out of office, but hasn't yet decided to vote for Kerry.

Only a DUMBASS would not be able to comprehend that voting for Kerry is the best method for getting rid of the Evil Shrub.
