1. Sometimes I wish she wouldn't say dumb things
But I have to admit, I absolutely adore her. Class personified.

9. "Dumb" is in the eye of the beholder....
...or as Forrest Gump would say, "Stupid is as stupid does."

13. That's what makes us different from the Repugs
Edited on Sat Oct-23-04 12:00 AM by RummyTheDummy
We can find fault even in the people we admire. My wincing at some of her comments is akin to getting mad at your favorite football player who just threw an interception. You love him, you're still a fan, but you wonder what he was thinking. I agree with just about everything she says, I just sometimes wish she would wait until after we elect her husband president to say them.

I stand by my comments.

5. Exactly! I knew there was something more in that picture, that's it.
John does that too, if you'll notice. Not an easy task for a 6+ footer; my dad was that tall as well, and he always did the same.

4. Just contrast the differences between shots of the Kerrys with children
and the Bushes. Such natural charm and empathy with the Kerrys.

I have a 7yo son, and he can tell who's real and who's not.

He LOVES John Kerry.

6. Kerry not appealing to women? Bushit!
I love John when he stands up, stays cool and pounds away at Shrub. And I love the fact that Teresa says whatever she damn-well pleases - I LOVE strong confident principled women.

What's interesting to me is I can't remember when I have admired two people as much as I do John Kerry and Teresa at this moment. Why is that?

Perhaps it's the extraordinary contrast of ultimate "good vs. evil" in this race - they represent our greatest hope - perhaps our LAST hope for turning this country back into some semblance of the nation it once was.

Perhaps it's that I'm working my ass off to get that man elected and have personally put in blood, sweat and tears for him - something I have never done for anyone - ever.

Perhaps it's just when you look at them you see GOOD people. The more I look at them, the more pictures I see, the more speeches I hear, the more I'm feeling about them like I feel about Big Dawg.

I think I'll start a new petition to have them adopt me. Hey, we beat Sinclair right? Anything's possible.

Kerry doesn't touch people? Kerry doesn't APPEAL to people?
My ass.

Sorry - speech over.

7. For me it's not so much her strength
as her intelligence and personability. Look at her in that picture. She's got a great smile, too.

She's just a charmer.

10. JFK and Teresa are a sharp contrast to the "first couple"
I'm working on the campaign-volunteering at the local headquarters
originally because I hated Bush so much. But as I watched Kerry and Teresa more and more they do strike a cord of being intelligent, strong principled people. They don't try to act like they are the people next door. No phony "I'm just a regular guy" bullshit we get from the fortunate son, Bush. I am committed to both of them until election day and hopefully for many years to come.

18. Yep, she's that, no cookie cutter mold for her
She is comfortable with herself and that is obvious. I also think it relaxes all around her to know that she is so genuine. She will make a super first lady.

15. She's no more frank or sharp-tongued
than Cheney. And of course everybody loooooooves the Chenmeister.

Nothing wrong with having a diva-sistah on our side who isn't afraid to take off her heels and have to be held back.

17. I think she's phenomenal
Elizabeth Edwards may be the most exceptional person or spouse on the ticket.

Both Edwards and Kerrys families are head and shoulders above and finer people than any of the bush-cheney litter of morons, psychos, drug addicts, and trashy bimbos. :shudder:
