What really gets my goat is when GWB says 'they hate us for our freedom'; it belies a total lack of depth of understanding of the enemy's thinking. To wit:

1. They don't hate us because of our freedom; they hate us because of our plurality, because God is not the central figure in our government, which is their revoloutionary goal in the countries in which they operate.

2. They've successfully baited us in to invading an Arab country, which is what they've said we'd do all along.

3. They stated as a primary goal that they wanted us out of Saudi Arabia, because it's holy ground; guess what? We're out. Our primary Gulf operations are now based in Quatar.
