Bush expected to lose Oregon, highest unemp in US
***Sorry, DU readers. I do not have a link. This was a report which I heard over the radio as I was driving in to work this morning. I've searched on the net, but so far no luck.

Here's what I can recall from the news:

The state of Oregon now has the highest unemployment rate in the country, at 7.4%. This has destroying any hopes the Republican Party might have of winning in Oregon.

As a result, the Bush campaign has pulled all ads which were scheduled to be aired in the state. Campaign advisors have decided to focus instead on key battleground states.

2. Hah! We were listening to the same report on the way to work!
Here in Eugene, the KE/BC ratio (looking at yard signs as a metric) is running about 100:1.

No way is * getting within sniffing distance in OR.

4. OR has been a lock for a while, that's why I'm headed for OH
to do GOTV (my first time at this and I'm gettin' on in years). Suggest y'all figure out a way to GOTV whereever you are. Check out MoveON, Act4victory.org, local Dem HQ. Think how you'll feel on Nov. 3rd if this one slips through our fingers! - K
