The $200,000 Question, Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Social Issue Republicans
by Me

If you make more than $200,000 a year, vote Republican.

Seriously.

It's in your best financial interest. Feed your kids. Buy that Lexus.

However, if you're part of the other 99% of the country (percentage data estimated due to laziness), Republican policies are designed to bend you over and fuck you in the ass -- and really, if you voted Republican, you were asking for it, you little slut.

But...but, Paragon...what about abortion, school prayer, gay marriage, pornography on the internet, and The Ten Commandments in every public square?!?

To which I reply...look at what tremendous progress has been made on those issues. So-called "partial birth abortion" -- shot down in the courts. School prayer -- completely off the radar. Gay marriage -- not in my Constitution, ever.

And on and on. It's not designed to legislate morality, silly wabbit...it's designed to get your vote every 2, 4, or 6 years.

Yep, you've been had. You've been took. You've been hoodwinked. Bamboozled. Led astry. Run amok.

Which, if you've been paying attention, means those are being used as wedge issues to distract you from the way your money, which you work so hard for every day, is being stolen, mismanaged, and otherwise given to richer people.

"The $200,000 Question"...pass it on.

2. i have always used the...
"can you quit your job and live off your investments?" argument, especially on younger people (i didn't use it when talking to someone old enough to maybe be retired).

the other points (abortion, school prayer, etc) i've also pointed out the 'progress' made.

4. Interesting, but...
...it doesn't address those social-issue-voting Republicans that don't realize their votes are empty and actually hurting themselves.

Those are the particular dunderheads I'm trying to reach. Really rich people should vote Republican -- after all, the system has been designed to benefit them the most.

6. Posting at end of thread for no particular reason... see here -->
Anyone who doesn't believe what the original poster has put up may find the evidence of it in these two lectures.... warning, they will make you hair stand on end, literally. I have never been so slammed between the eyes by the simple spoken word... this guy has it going on.. and we are not voting for right or wrong now.... we are literally voting for good vs evil.

saying.

They can't figure this out for themselves and if they could you wouldn't have to be doing this thread.

The other thing that goes along with what you are saying is those folks who feel that terrorism is a much bigger threat than bad economic times are. They say what good is a good economy if you're dead. Well my answer to that is, you have to live for some time until you die and the chance you will die by terrorism is smaller than the chance you will get killed driving home tonight. Would you give up economic security for the chance you will never be killed in an auto accident or you will never be killed by a terrorist? If your answer is yes, the terrorists have already won. I think they've won because you are willing to screw yourselves for the dishonest rhetoric that says this administration will protect you.

Well my reasoning just went over their heads too!
