Bush knew there was NO WMD in Iraq
There has been alot of posts about Pat Robertson's comments but none of them seemed to capture my opinion. Here's what Robertson's 'Bush said, there will not be any casualties' comments tell me.

My belief is that he went in guns blazing for a quick and decisive military victory that was intended to :

1. intimidate terrorists throughout the world
2. Control the regions oil spigot
3. Bask in the glory of a swift military victory and coast to re-election
4. all of the above
5 none of the above

your guess is as good as mine but I stand by the statement THAT BUSH KNEW THERE WAS NO WMD WORTH WORRYING ABOUT AND SENT IN TROOPS GUNS BLAZING WITHOUT THE FEAR OF LOSING THOUSANDS OF MEN AND WOMEN BY POSSIBLE CHEMICAL ATTACK, which is why we went in right?

If Robertson's statement is not true then Robertson is lying, likely out of concern that there is tremendous discontent among conservatives over the mounting loss of life in Iraq.
I understand the WH has issued a statement that Bush never told Robertson what he said. Any way you cut, someone's lying and both seem to think they have DIVINE PROVIDENCE, which is scary as hell. Reminds me of the conclusion to Return Planet of the APES(II) loony mutant humans that worshiped a nuclear bomb. eeeekkkkk.

1. If we COULD prove that beyond a reasonable doubt within the next 2 weeks
Bush's November surprise would be guaranteed!

2. Please send that observation
Please send that observation around. I think that is a great point,a nd one that needs to be sent to the different shows, the different news organizations and the like.

You are on to something, I think.

Get that out there!

I'll be happy to send it around as well -- but don't want to steal your thoughts!! :)

4. no, when bush said "there will be no casualties" he meant
he meant that there will be no casualties in the reality we will create through the media. sure, some people will die, but we won't report on them, there will be no state funerals or pictures of caskets or maimed iraqis.

and this is what he has done. he has created a media image in which casualties don't exist.

and if there really were wmds, and they were used? they would most likely still not talk about casualties, just about the moral heinousness of the evil wmd users.

in any event, they wouldn't be bothered one bit, because if they actuall HAD wmds and had used them, then shrub would have used that to claim a lock on power forever.
