2. Maybe because it's true...
Supporting Pataki over McCall is bad enough, but supporting hardcore conservatives like Al D'Amato is wandering into Zell Miller territory.

3. He's a calculator.
He's not a Miller, who's a fellator.

But, he's a candidate in the primary, and I thought these kinds of outright attacks were against the rules. Couldn't you reframe this in a less incendiary way? Aren't we all getting sick of this kind of baiting? You raise a legitimate point. Do you have to "sell" it like this?

4. Better?
Some of you can tolerate Pataki I'm sure, but the D'Amato thing is just evil.

5. Attacking the messenger?
Your boy Howard got waxed at the debate so you are using republican tactics to run smear campaign.

Not suprising since Dean is republican-lite.

12. Not really...
It's a pretty shitty thing to do in a 2 party nation.

If he were Canadian and endorsed the Conservatives to weaken the Liberals enough that they would be forced into a coalition with the NDP, I would understand where he was coming from.

15. Sharpton knew what D'Amato was like..
http://www.salon.com/opinion/conason/2003/01/14/bush/

"Everyone in New York knew that Al D'Amato was "going to be a conservative Republican," because six years earlier he had defeated Jacob Javits, the liberal Republican incumbent, in a bitter primary that featured his right-wing credentials and financing from ultraconservative national organizations."

There's no excusing for supporting somebody so evil.

11. Sharpton is not a true anything...
but opportunist. Asking whether anyone is a "real" Democrat is always silly, but with Sharpton it's ridiculous.

Anyone around here who followed the news, particularly a number of Voice articles and maybe some Newsday ones, knows what Sharpton has always been up to.

Ask him about his source of income, Michael Jackson tickets, or minority construction payoffs. Denials and huffery at how dare you ask.

Always one step ahead of the sheriff, and brilliant at it.

13. This appears to be retaliation for Rev. Sharpton's query of Gov. Dean
Rev. Sharpton is a noted liberal activist. That allows him to include himself in the Democratic fold. Good luck with this line.
