Well...isn't that special...as the "Church Lady" would say.
Look at the other part of Pat Robertson's statement to CNN (Paula Zahn) BEYOND the 'the idiot said we wouldn't have any casualites' remark.
I've watched it over and over because this is big news this evening (even among the whores). Robertson also says in the lead up to the "remark" that he had very, very, very deep misgivings about launching this Iraq War. That put two thoughts in my wee little mind.
1) This gives the Christian Right permission to question this war. If their chosen by God leader, Pat, says this then who of their ranks could doubt?? The very act of Bush going against the MESSAGES OF GOD CHANNELED THROUGH PAT, is reason to wonder if this Bush Boy is "really on our side"...............gasp.
2) Robertson is a consumate con-man who has built a financial empire on these hapless morons. He rakes in the money for a life style of kings (within this last year he had to apologize to his faithful for his million dollar racing horses--and if you are investing in them, honey, you are betting on them--I don't think "God said 'raise up among the people a multi-million dollar horse herd'). So wee little mind thinks: rumors are all over the place that win or lose this election, the Republican Party is going to split all over the place (moderates who want to be president and already said so the RNC include: Gulliana, Pataki, Hagel, McCain, etc. and they are said to know that they could not get by the Christian Right). And wee little mind says that Pat wants to run as the "fundie candidate" or he would have NEVER NEVER said the stuff he did to Zahn. Like Nader, he knows that even if he (and he won't) get into the Oval Office, the money that he can con people out of in his "run" will keep him in race horses, booze, fun and good times for the rest of his life and his useless kid's life.
And I love that Bush has put out a denial that he said that to Pat and the Kerry campaign asked Bush to clarify if Robertson is a liar..or not.................fuck the fundies.
