Statement of Five 9/11 Widows on Rice Battleground State Travel
For Immediate Release

Five widows of 9/11 victims, Kristen Breitweiser, Patty Casazza, Monica Gabrielle, Mindy Kleinberg, and Lorie Van Auken, released the following statement today regarding Condoleezza Rice’s travel to battleground states:

“At a time when terrorism is on the rise and American troops are dying every day in Iraq, we are disturbed that National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice is giving speeches and press interviews in battleground states. Her time would be far better spent tracking down Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda terrorists - the people who killed our husbands - and pushing for full adoption of the 9/11 commission recommendations.”

24. Apparently not, but criticisms of Kerry's comments about Mary Cheney
and why he said them are OK.

And we wonder why Kerry isn't running away with this election.

I swear my blood pressure goes up 30 points when I hear this.

17. Truer words were never spoken
This is the kind of stuff I'd like to see on Crossfire. IF she was a democrat or in the Kerry admin, good God, I would say the same thing.

That's why I despise these neo-con ideolgoues. The ideology and the loyalty to it trump all facts, evidence, and reality. God,never in the history of this country has a an adminstration DESERVED to go down more than this one.

12. If we are attacked before or even after the election
it will have been because the chimp and the Dick and Condosleezes Rice have campaigning instead of doing their GD job of protecting America. See Vp Dick, we can say that because your NS Advisor is running around campaigning instead of protecting us, we might get attacked again. Works both way! The first attack on their watch, the chimp was on vacation!

13. Hey now, a Pakistani General claims that UBL isn't anywhere near
those mountains! Condi is actually good for nothing, so she might as well take that little flip-in-the-back plastic hairdo and hit the road for the chimp. Condi is an ignorant incompetent worthless ass.

14. Condi Rice is a disgrace and should be labeled as a total incompetent
PUBLICALLY. More than 3000 dead after 911 and 1100 plus troop and Iraqi civilian fatalities are a direct result of that incompetence!

As a woman, I am particularly chastened to find the press has been so protective of her-- to the detriment of the facts. Whether this reflects racial or gender-related sensitivities, I could not tell you. But, frankly, I fear that that may be why she has gotten such a pass--even more so than the ultimate asshole, Rumsfeld. Women and minorities should speak out to this issue, imo. Rice is incompetent and would be no less so if she were white and male!

"Political Conversation: Condi's Slip...

By Deborah Schoeneman WITH SPENCER MORGAN April 26, 2004

A pressing issue of dinner-party etiquette is vexing Washington, according to a story now making the D.C. rounds: How should you react when your guest, in this case national-security adviser Condoleezza Rice, makes a poignant faux pas? At a recent dinner party hosted by New York Times D.C. bureau chief Philip Taubman and his wife, Times reporter Felicity Barringer, and attended by Arthur Sulzberger Jr., Maureen Dowd, Steven Weisman, and Elisabeth Bumiller,

Rice was reportedly overheard saying, 'As I was telling my husb...' and then stopping herself abruptly, before saying, 'As I was telling President Bush'. Jaws dropped, but a guest says the slip by the unmarried politician, who spends weekends with the president and his wife, seemed more psychologically telling than incriminating. Nobody thinks Bush and Rice are actually an item. A National Security Council spokesman laughed and said, 'No comment.'"

21. I truly despise Condi Rice.
Just another incompetent bushco war criminal.

Remember just a few years ago, when she was getting so much oh so nice press?

Her piano playing, her rising up from a middling background, etc.

Now, she is headed for the scrapheap of failure.

23. If Condi wasn't so busy taking care of Bush
and now out campaigning for him, maybe she would have time to pay attention to our national security and read some of those Intel reports?
