Candidate Betty Castor forgot her photo ID. Couldn't vote.
Couldn't vote until she sent someone back to her campaign to get it. I don't have any photo ID? Is it just her county or are all of us here in Florida supposed to have photo ID. I have my driver's license, and that is all.

3. All voters have to have ID with photo and signature
Your driver's license meets these requirements. So does a credit card, debit card, school ID etc as long as they have your picture and signature on them.

8. No, I just read this on the election site. you can sign an oath because
some people simply don't have photo ids, driver's licenses or anything. I don't have the link handy but go the the Florida Elections web site. There is a provision for this.

5. this discriminates against poor people
Many of them can't afford cars, and so don't have drivers licenses.

11. And that's just the way the "compasionate conservatives" like it.
Didn't you hear ? Poor people are poor because "god" has not "chosen" them. The poor are not important; they are not here to lead.
These is a belief of the Konservative Khristian Koalition.
Pat Robertson says so, therefore it must be true.

6. She could have filled out an Affirmation form.
Don't know why the poll workers didn't tell her?

7. I have voted here all my life by just showing my voter's card.
I keep it in my wallet. No one has told me I needed a driver's license. When did this change?

10. I
wish that photo Id's were required to vote. My sister does not drive but the state of Mi. issued her a photo ID. If when I walk up to the polling place on Nov. 2nd and if I am told I have already voted watch for me on the news. I have some concern that fraud will be wide spread this year. Now this next sentence may get at best flamed and and worst banned. But lets be honest here folks there has been cheating on the part of parties. As a 23 year veteran of the Air Force it makes me sick that the process I stood up and defended has or maybe always was corrupt. OK reaching for my flame retardant undies, flame away if you wish.

13. HAVA requires ID. Depends on the state how to implement it.
Some go so far as to allow things like utility bills.

I wonder if Castor forgot her id 'accidentally on purpose', to generate a news story that would remind voters that they need ID.
