WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) and Democratic challenger Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) are tied in the race for the White House with exactly two weeks to go before the Nov. 2 elections, according an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released on Tuesday.
The poll showed that Bush and Kerry were even at 48 percent each among likely voters with Independent Ralph Nader (news - web sites) drawing 1 percent support, NBC reported.
In a September NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, Bush led Kerry among likely voters, 50 percent to 46 percent.
The latest poll, conducted by Hart/McInturff, was taken on Oct. 16-18 among 1,004 adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
