Is this what the Bushies have planned????????
Are the repukes intentionally setting up a situation (by leaving Kerry off Absentee Ballots in Ohio, Florida early voting is already a klusterf*ck, Thousands of registrations being thrown out in Arizona and Oregon, etc.) that would cause enough doubt to be cast on the election results that the election will be repudiated and the Congress (which is republican-run) will wind up voting in the next President and Vice-President? Could this happen?

4. I don't think they'd leave it to chance.
A lot of Republicans might abstain from voting. . . many of them are unhappy with the NeoCons.

Much better to just get another 5-4 ruling.

5. they are definitely planning on a coup redux
have been all along

just keep it "close" enough--through bogus polls and ownership of the media--to provide cover for their fraud.

6. Blame Jeb and Glenda Hood if Florida has any problems
Things better go smoothly down here or not only will George go down, but his brother will go with him.

For 3 years Jeb and Glenda have been telling us how reliable these systems are and that they have complete confidence in these machines. People have tried to get them to address a number of serious problems before the election and they refused. If there are any problems at all, they are completely to blame.

9. oooh! I bet they are just shaking in their boots!
Jeb got easily re-elected after 2000. Harris won a congressional seat. Jeb and Glenda will laugh their asses off if they pull it off again. They have nothing to worry about.

12. That's why it is up to us to blame them
Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 06:15 PM by DoYouEverWonder
for anything that goes wrong. The difference between now and 2004, is that the Governor now appoints the Secretary of State. He hired Glenda Hood, she was not elected to this cabinet position. They claim that all the other elections since 2000 have run smoothly and that all the votes have been counted. That the systems we are using now, supposedly have worked up until now. There is no excuse if the machines do not work now. This election is their baby and they better do it right.

10. Bushavicks have been working to steal the election
Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 04:48 PM by gumby
just like last time. However, if the "election" winds up in Congress, the neo-fascists will indeed "give" the presidency to The Dub.

However, unlike last time, this major fuckup is at least Constitutional (?).

The coming coup will be framed in the "political," rather than in the "Judical," not that this matters for most 'murikans.

Unlike last time, when the media refused to report on reality and constantly repeated that "there are no tanks in the streets," this time they will explain over and over that THIS coup is "Constitutional" and spend hours and hours giving us civics lessons about how The Dub is The One and Only.

edit:spelling which is never correct. bah!

14. Reads like a crock o' shit to me. Proof readers caught the error, but
then they blame it on an old copy machine without any explanation. WTF?

13. that's exactly what they're doing. Read this article
http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200411/green

Rove has done exactly that in past elections.

You can bet he's going to do it this time too.

15. FOX/2000
One of the most important events in 2000 was FOX, with no new evidence, declaring Bush the winner. This set in motion the entire story sequence in which Gore was the "loser," trying to finagle a victory, rather than it being an unclear, unfinished election. Remember how fast
the Sore-Loserman T shirts were ready and the mob was assembled to shut
down the counting?

Rove will certainly fight just as hard this time -- anything anyone can do to hang a theives label on them starting right now will be worth it. (The Nevada registration story is a great one to keep circulating)

17. There will be 51 Floridas this time
I count D.C. The most important day in US history may well be that day in December when the electors present their ballots to the President of the Senate Dick Cheney.
