This may seem a little silly. But we could try some affirmations
In addition to all the stuff we need to do to get him to win, some clear consciousness would be beneficial. This may seem a little hokey but, if the New Thought religions are correct, it may help.

I have a background in Religious Science and we were always told to affirm things as if they were already reality, kind of like "John Kerry has already been elected President." I've seen single repeated affirmations work and blow away the laws of physics.

In Religious Science, we also had a really interesting idea of praying, using what was called a five-part treatment. If you go to a Religious Science Practitioner, this is what he/she will do. Though it seems really silly to be talking about this, I've seen it really work (despite seeming scientific improbabilities), especially when more than one person is treating for a result. One of the first principles of Religious Science is that one has to act rather than just treat. I think this is one of the main differences between Christian Science and Religious Science. The treatment is to send the message into the universal consciousness but then there has to be some action. For instance, one has to buy or pick up a lottery ticket to win the lottery. An affirmation without a ticket won't help.

Here are the five steps to the treatments:
1) They would talk about the powers of God or the Force or whatever as they relate to the qualities needed: Such as "There is a Divine Power for Good in the Universe that is All-Powerful, All-Victorious and always winning."

3)They would clarify the relationship of the person doing the prayer and the person being prayed for with God or the Universal essence, kind of like: This Divine Winning Power flows through me and also through John Kerry and we are connected to all that exists through the Universe. {This is a bit weird but it kind of establishes the power of the person doing the prayer or treatment to treat for the other individual.)

3) Next is the affirmation. It needed to be specific, clear and exactly what we wanted. For example: "I see John Kerry giving his acceptance speech and thanking the country for electing him President of the United States on November 2 as John Kerry has already won the Presidency by a landslide."

4)This is where you thank God or the Force or Whatever. It can be something like Thank you or Thank you for John Kerry's landslide in the November 2, 2004 election.

5)The last step is the release, where you send the idea into universal consciousness to manifest. It can be a simple statement like "Amen" or, perhaps, "I release this knowing that John Kerry has already been elected President."

I'm not one of those people who is super-religious but I think everything helps.

2. That time...
...could be spent canvassing, writing a newsletter, putting up signs, phonebanking, or a million other ways. "Affirmations" are a load of junk, and a waste of time. Let's leave this stuff to the theocons.

3. I do them while I'm driving , walking and doing other stuff.
The nice thing about affirmations is you can do them anywhere and any time.

4. In situations where I cannot be doing anything else,
i.e. when I am awake at 3:00 in the morning, or stuck in traffic, or stuck in a meaningless boring meeting, I do this.

"Kerry in a landslide."
"Kerry in a landslide."
"Kerry in a landslide."
"Kerry in a landslide."
"Kerry in a landslide."
"Kerry in a landslide."
"Kerry in a landslide."
"Kerry in a landslide."
"Kerry in a landslide."
"Kerry in a landslide."

It helps amazingly.

And then I go out and canvass and phone bank my ass off.
