Whither Bush?

I find it odd that Bush isn't out campaigning today. I've seen humorous references to this on DU today, but I'm wondering what the story is here. Isn't it somewhat odd that, in what the ad-revenue-craving media promotes as a "dead heat" "horserace," Bush (or his handlers) don't bother to put together another day's worth of staged campaign events.

Seriously, isn't this strange?

1. Did he cancel anything he had scheduled?

Could he really be on vacation AGAIN?

2. They are about to capture Zarqawi ??

And htat is why they put out the story this morning that Zarqawi says he is supportive of Osama bin Laden. If we can capture him, vicariously, it would be like capturing the big cajone himself. That may be what they are hiding for - just trying to figure out how best ot present it to the voters of this country?

what to say. I'm watching for "Breaking News...we interrupt this program for a statement by pretzeldent Bush* from the White House"
