get yellow ribbon magnets at Michaels!

I have been looking around for a month or so for the yellow "support our troops" magnets that a lot of cars have here in Madison. Usually, these ribbons are seen in conjunction with W'04 stickers. I finally found them at our local craft store, Michaels so I would check yours.

So, I wanted one for my car- to go with me "Bush Lies People Die" and my "we're making enemies faster than we can kill them" and my "Kerry/Edwards" sticker.

I wanted one b/c the implication that I can't be against the president and support the troops is so divisive right now and so not true. I support our troops by not wanting them to die for dubya's mistakes

So, I invite all of you put a yellow ribbon on your car with your Kerry stickers. Tie a yellow ribbon on your yard sign. Let's not let them get away with co-opting troop support!!


(I also kind of expect mine to get stolen from my car with all my anti-Bush stickers. We'll have to see what happens. At least I know where to buy another one for 2 bucks!)

2. I had the same thought. My local Walgreens had them ...

... and I now have both a Kerry/Edwards and a Support our Troops. They belong together.

As soon as my new yard signs arrive I'll put ribbons on them too! My signs were stolen last week and I'm STILL waiting for my www.kerrygear.com order to arrive!

4. That's just what I did

put the yellow ribbon next to my K/E sticker. I had trouble finding it and I found it in the supermarker (Hannaford's) but it was at the customer service area, behind the counter and you had to go there to pay for it.

Every convenience store has them and they are on many cars.

11. I have a yellow ribbon magnet that says "USMC"

in honor of my son, who is stationed in Japan. It's on the driver's side of my car because the back is all fiberglass so it won't stick. I also fly the American and Texas flags every day.

The days of republicans co-opting patriotism as exclusively one of their values are over!

12. YES! My yellow ribbon says "Support our Troops" AND "NOT BUSH" everybody

should do this!!! I got the yellow "Support our Troops" magnet and wrote in CAPS with a heavy Sharpie NOT BUSH on the other half of the ribbon. I placed it sideways so both are readable! It really says everything that I need to say in one spot. I have "Kerry-Edwards" in the side windows along with some slash/W stickers. I also sometimes temporarily place "DEFEAT HATRIOTISM" and the one below on the window "sills" of my car. I am happy driving long distances on the highway like this :D

And I was just thinking- maybe having a yellow ribbon on your yard sign may make someone feel guilty about stealing it.

15. they're EVERYWHERE here, drug stores, candy stores, you name it, but

I want one that says 'Never Forget 9/11' and they are NOWHERE. I searched eBay, Googled it, nothing.

But the troops one is everywhere and it's online everywhere. Google it. You'll find them.
