Pious Cheneys: Get OVER IT
CNN is still smacking this puppy, they refuse to let it die. And the entire Cheney family is acting like a family scorned.

Isn't appalling how these people can lie and cheat the entire American public via Daddy Halliburton/Fear Mongering/Go F*ck Yourself Dick and not feel outrage over THAT?

Hey CNN, do you know you are bing used for the extra long spin cycle? How does it feel to be morons?

6. This is an old hunting trick; drag a red herring across the hounds' trail
to draw them off the real scent. The Cheney's DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF GETTING 'OFFENDED' UNTIL ROVE INSTRUCTED THEM TO. We should interpret this--correctly--as a sign that the media were sniffing on the CORRECT trail.
So what were the media talking about when this BS broke about Mary Cheney?

1) Voter registration application destruction in nearly every state.
2) Bush being "wired" with box on his back.

We therefore have to ignore the rotten fishy scent of the Mary Cheney protest and get the talking heads back on track. I found it easier to reach Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, for instance, by writing to them through the forms on their blogs, Hardblogger and Bloggermann. Can anyone provide the best contact info for other THs?

7. Repub strategy
Unfortunately the Repubs seem to be doing a good job of keeping this alive. They are the opportunists here and yet they are getting away with calling Kerry one. I have a couple of comments, though. First, in hindsight Kerry would have been better off if he had said something along the lines of "if you ask gay men and women, etc., rather than naming someone specific. Hindsight 20-20 blah blah blah.

My other question is angrier. Where are the spokespeople for the gay community? They don't have to protect Mary Cheney's sexual orientation. She's out. So can anyone on DU tell me where their voices are being heard?

8. Karl Rove tossed a stick on the lawn and we are chasing it.
The major problem in this country is that the privileged Cheney's are angry. Not hurt mind you, but angry John Kerry used their daughter's name to answer a question about homosexuality. Has anyone asked how come you people didn't have your daughter on the stage at your convention? No, because your friends in the press that your family places golf with, has dinner with and are married to are to busy playing Karl Roves game.

You profess to love her and of being proud of her. You say she is a very private person but she is working on a fucking presidential campaign and has been involved in issues that cast her in the public spotlight where lesbian or not anything and everything about you is dug up and put out there.

My fellow Americans we are a fucking stupid bunch of people. Karl Rove has masterfully made up an issue that is a nonissue. According to the ABC poll 63 percent of the dumb fucks polled don't understand that Cheney can't profess to love his daughter and embrace his daughter's life style but work to make sure she is treated as a second class citizen. You dumb asses can't see that they want you forget about Bush totally inept performance in the debate and during his entire term and focus why the Cheney's are angry.

We are a bunch of fucking morons and no wonder the rest of the world hates our asses. Instead of being able to look to us for leadership we are too busy chasing the stick one asshole tossed on the lawn to demostrate it.
