Stewart did not come on Crossfire to tell jokes. He "made a special effort" to come on because he said the media is failing its responsiblity to the public and that Crossfire is a great example of this. He called Crossfire a reactionary hack show, not a debate show. He said he watches it everyday and he can't take it anymore.

He is deadly serious. Tucker is calling him boring and lecturing and so forth. Both Tucker and Begala were not prepared for this.

Stewart is so right. The show has become a half hour of people screaming talking points at each other.

The scary thing was that Tucker seemed to understand exactly what Jon was saying (he feigned outrage, of course) but it was Paul who did not seem to get what Jon was saying at all -- this is scaring the hell out of me -- I am now more worried for our futures than the Rethugs even induced in me (there was always the hope that this side of the fence there was some measure of sanity and intellect).

I normally block out the Rethug antics silently telling myself that the Dems will be orders of magnitude better.
