Rush's "Who you gonna believe ME or your lying eyes?" moment just now

I just heard this running to get lunch.

Rush couldn't believe this story from the "John Kerry transcript service" better known as the AP wire:

For 83-year-old Dorothy Van Asdale, of Yuma, Ariz., the debates offered a firsthand look at a Democratic candidate she knew about mostly through the narrative of conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh.

"I listen to Rush Limbaugh when I'm in my car," she said. "We can only get one radio station really clear around here. It's so negative. I never heard a good thing about Kerry."

But when she tuned in to the presidential debates, she "liked Kerry's presence. I liked the way he spoke."

Rush couldn't figure out how to pronounce her last name and then said, ~"How can Dorothy have been listening to what I have been saying and then watched the debate and NOT have concluded anything other than that I have been right all along???".

Seems Dorothy can only pick up one radio station and so all she knew of Kerry was what Rush had told her.

His Rush-ness dedicated today's show to Dorothy Van Asdale or Arsdale or whatever it is and said that he would love to talk to her...."Let's call someone we know in the CIA Hey! Let's call Ashcroft!!!"

I think a lot of people were surprised to actually see him and take a measure of him.

He catches flack for not saying everything WE want him to but he would seem like a crazed maniac. He couldn't present himself as he is.
I was guilty of doing this when W said that flu vaccine could be coming from Canada....a week after saying that we should FEAR Canadian drugs even the re-imported ones. That was set up to hit out of the park but Big John decided to take another route, which worked.
