... I really think this clip needs to be disseminated, so am posting it with apologies to the moderators if I'm acting out of turn. I'm afraid it might be lost at the end of the "wired" thread. (Didn't know if I'd been a member long enough to actually post a message, so tried to hang it on to a relevant thread.)
Whatever, please look at this clip (address below). Bush is shown speaking in 1994 during his Texas gubernatorial campaign and then shown speaking today. The symptoms of pre-senile dementia are tragically obvious, and are summarized in the clip. Why is the Republican party pushing this man as president? He's only going to get worse, and this in a world leader, representing the United states. The interesting thing is that, just as a person in the grip of senile dimentia has good days and bad days, Bush has good days and bad days. Although, in the debates, he didn't look to have ANY good days!
Again, the contrast in the speech of this man between ten years ago and today is shocking. Truly. This example of Bush's deterioration should be spread everywhere. Bush with all his buttons would be bad enough, but with a good percentage of them lost, it would be a disaster to have him elected as president.
