Just in case you were buried under a rock and missed the Swift Boat phenomena, Republican media moguls are making sure that every single swing voter sees at least one Vietnam veteran trashing John Kerry’s war record.

Two weeks before the election, Sinclair Broadcasting Group, the owner of the largest chain of television stations in the nations, has order sixty-two stations to air a documentary that accuses Kerry of betraying American prisoners during the Vietnam War.

The film, “Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Hear,” will preempt primetime programming in a number of swing states, including Ohio, Florida, Iowa and Wisconsin. As predicted, Sinclair’s executives have contributed mightily to the Cheney campaign since 2000 and the filmmaker, Carlton Sherwood, is a former Bush administration official.
