Draft Issue: Show this Timeline of the Future to people!
NOTE: Before being able to understand the context of this new diary entry, you must read this earlier diary, how an impending Bush Draft, including the new Skills Draft, is being readied and prepared for 2005:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/10/9/12032/9687

OK, now you can read this. Keep in mind I have been researching the coming Bush Draft intensively for a year and this is the most likely future scenario from all that knowledge:

Timeline of How Bush Would Re-instate the Draft in 2005

Nov. 2 – Bush gets back in for another 4 years.

November 2004 – Massive Call-up of Reserves and Individual Ready Reserve to relieve troops and build up for the leveling, taking and holding of Falluja.

November 2004 – NEW legislation drawn up for Skills Draft. Law will allow 1) calling of Skills Draft and Medical Draft without the calling of a Combat Draft and 2) the automatic activation of both the Skills Draft and the Medical Draft if a Combat Draft is called.

December 2004 – New Skills Draft law passed in the dead of night by Republican House and Senate without debate. This will allow a non-combat draft for several hundred skills, forcing ALL men and women under the age of 35 to register with the Selective Service, listing ALL their skills. Occupations to be drafted will range from latrine orderly (“Basic Hygiene Equipment Operator” in today’s lingo) to computer programmer and linguist. The skill need only be declared in shortage by the DoD and the number needed will be drawn in an 18-34 lottery. All those with the same birthday with a low lottery number inducted together until shortage figure met. Law enacts option 3a and 3b of Hidden Draft Agenda memo recovered through the FOI Act (last page). http://www.blatanttruth.org/selective_service091304.pdf

November 2004 – April 2005 – Selective Service instructed to finish designing Skills and Medical Registration Cards and database fields. Funding allocated in Skills Draft law allows development of database and printing of cards needed to track “virtually every young American” under 35 for the Skills Draft and 45 for the Medical Draft by April of 2005. Medical draft tested nationwide and made ready. Employers for Alternative Service Workers are identified and documents to place Conscientious Objectors with them are printed up. Bush Administration rattles their sabers over Syria, Lebanon and Iran, releasing reports on Iranian weapons of mass destruction, including the making of a nuclear bomb.

February 2005 – All 10,000 vacancies on local draft boards and appeals boards filled.

March 31, 2005 – SSS director must report that the entire system has completed its 5-year Readiness/Performance Plan, and can open all 1,980 local draft board offices around the country and hold a Draft Lottery within 75 days of reauthorization of conscription (the draft).

April 1, 2005 – President Bush forwards a request from the Pentagon and Homeland Security to reinstate the draft to the leaders of Republican Congress. His letter reads “We cannot cut and run from Iraq. The Pentagon has informed me that we to reinstate the military draft immediately.” The Republicans pass reinstatement in the middle of the night with no debate along party lines. The Skills Draft and the Medical Draft are automatically activated with the Combat Draft. The SSS scrambles to open local board offices in towns across America.

April 2, 2005 – News announcers inform over 40 million Americans that they must now go and register their skills or medical profession with the Selective Service at their Post Office or with the new easy-to-use online form available at www.sss.gov. Everyone overseas must register at the US embassy or online. The news announce the deadline of 30 days, as well as the penalty for not registering: the usual $250,000 fine and/or imprisonment, plus a lockout from applying for government jobs or government-backed student loans.

May 2, 2005 – Deadline for Skills and Medical Draft registration passes. John Ashcroft announces on televsion that those who have not registered do so immediately and they will not be prosecuted. Those who have not, be prepared to receive a letter from the Department of Justice that you are hereby banned from student loan programs and now subject to a possible $250,000 fine and/or several years in Leavenworth Federal Prison.

June 15, 2005 – All 1,980 Draft Board offices and Appeal Board and Regional Board offices open, staffed and ready to induct. First Draft Lottery held in June sometime, maybe July. 100,000 20 year-olds drafted for combat to test system in first induction batch. DoD announces shortages of at least nurses, some medical specialties, computer network engineers, linguists and engineers in first Skills and Medical Draft Lottery. All ages pooled together for these and the first few unlucky birthdays will likely be inducted in the first batch. NO medical deferments for Skills and Medical Draft.

July, 2005 – People claiming CO status send in their claims and Draft Boards start considering them. Medical Exam report orders force 200,000 to 300,000 men to come and line up in their underwear for their Combat medical and psych exams. You will not be asked if you are homosexual under the new “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.

September, October 2005 – The first combat draftees arrive in boot camp, while the first nurses and doctors are assigned to units, the Public Health system and the VA system. The first COs are placed in ASW jobs, the first Skills and Draft workers ordered to report for duty around the globe for the DoD and throughout the Department of Homeland Security (where they have not the usual civil service protection).

March, 2006 – Combat Draftees arrive for 2006 troop deployment in Iraq. Bush and the Republicans ignore the U.N and invade Syria and Lebanon. This qualifies as a “new theater” and the President is allowed to deploy any divisions there for their INITIAL one-year deployment, meaning the crack battle-hardened volunteer divisions and Guard and Reserve units that fought in Iraq and Afghanistan will be the ones to conquer Syria and Lebanon. Buildup of at least 400,000 troops for Iranian invasion begins.

Fall, 2006 – Worries over Iranian bomb gives Bush and the Republicans excuse to invade and conquer Iran with 400,000 to 500,000 troops. “We can’t let the Israelis do it”, Bush will say. Halliburton awarded no-bid contracts to reconstruct and run all Middle East conquests.
