Take a look at the chart provided by this site: http://www.bluelemur.com/index.php?p=335

CNN allows skewed poll favoring Bush, but when it favored Edwards, they yanked it

By John Byrne | RAW STORY Editor

An online poll that showed clear evidence of tampering in favor of President Bush remained online at CNN for almost 26 hours, though when a similarly-worded poll favored Sen. John Edwards on Tuesday, CNN yanked the poll and started anew.

Friday and Saturday’s poll, which asked, “Who won the second presidential debate?” favored Senator Kerry by a three-to-one margin at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday. By five p.m. Saturday, President Bush led Kerry 50 to 48 percent.

The ratio of those who voted for Bush versus those who voted for Kerry in that six hour stretch was greater than four to one, with Bush outpacing Kerry 83 to 17 percent, among those who didn’t feel the debate was a draw, RAW STORY has found.

And whereas votes for Bush rose 523 percent in the six hour period, votes for Kerry climbed a scanty 27 percent.

The chart below shows the total votes in red, the votes for Kerry in blue, for Bush in green, and for a tie in magenta. The starting point is 7:39 p.m. Pacific time, when the poll went live, and each successive hour afterward is an increase of one. Click the image for the full pdf file.

9. I also see it this way
If the people constantly see or hear of polls that are 'too close to call' then no one will blink twice when Furious george steals another one. The sheeple will just think it was a close race all along and obviously the majority of people voted for boosh. So we'll have to just 'get over it' again :grr:
It feels like to me, they are doing their best to pre-program the mind-set for a boosh win :dunce: It'll work too.

3. Do online polls matter?
Do they change minds? I'm asking this question in all seriousness. If CNN wants to make Repugnicans feel better by posting skewed results, I think I don't mind. If one Repugnican stays home from the polls because he/she thinks the election is in the bag, I won't be even a little bit sorry.

6. They mattered enough for someone to tamper with them.
Look, if ten million people log onto an Internet poll and they see that Bush won the poll by twenty points, even if only 1% are influenced by it that's enough to change this election. I am not going to take any chances. The bottom line is that it's dishonest and I would think that tampering with something like this is illegal.

7. They didn't report those polls
on their broadcast. I watched CNN Tonight 10 PM Saturday with that kinda Japanese looking woman (I like her), and she said the CNN after debate poll was 47 Kerry...45 Bush. ABC poll 44-41 favor of Kerry. So they didn't use it.

8. They never use internet polls on TV but perhaps millions saw the poll
on the internet.

11. Sure they do. They just use them inconsistently.

You would't be expecting honesty and consistency, would you?
