Contrasting * and Kerry campaign speeches yesterday...
The clips I heard showed Kerry talking about what he has to offer the country in the way of plans for various issues. The clips I heard of * were all Kerry-bashing and not at all about what he has done the past four years.

How can people fall for that? Are they THAT stupid that they don't notice he's diverting? (of course, they don't recognize the IW as a diversion, so.....)

Should Kerry include more Bush-bashing, since it seems to work for *?

1. No
What I've heard from people who are interviewed, they hate Bush but aren't sure about Kerry. They want to know more about his plans before they decide. I think Kerry explaining plans, etc, will allay their fears that have been so carefully whipped up by the repukes and that they will vote Kerry in droves.

Shrub bashing Kerry at this late date is doing nothing but pandering to his base.

2. But * is leading is virtually all the polls, so it must be working.
People say they don't like negativity, but in the end, they are like robots and can't help but absorb the message being played and re-played.

It gets me so angry, * is there deriding Kerry about being negative, when it's KERRY who is being positive, while * who is doing most of the negative advertising! It gets me so maddddd!

3. Please remember
that we know that many of the polls are skewed in favor of the Republicans, if not downright false.

Kerry should keep focused on Bush's failures and policy difference.

He should observe that that Bush's negative campaigning is an admission that he can't run on a record of accomplishment He might note that this seems to be a consistent pattern: when confronted with unpleasant facts, Bush attacks the messenger.
