Elderly would rather get a flu shot than vote for Bush!
I was at the supermarket today and saw a SUPER long line of people, over half the length of the store and about 4-6 people wide and I asked the people at the end of the line what they were waiting for, and they said flu shots.

I said, "Oh, I thought it might be the President or something" (Since it was a SUPER long line)

One elderly lady at the end of the line replied "I wouldn't be in THAT line!" half a dozen people in line around her laughed in agreement.

I responded "I MEANT President Kerry!" and they all smiled and nodded in agreement.

1. Hmm
I still remember the 86 year old man interviewed on NBC this summer who said he was trying to stay alive long enough to vote Bush out.

4. This sounds like my dear friend
who has cancer and is in the dying process. She wants so much to vote for Kerry. I sent her absentee ballot applications today for her husband and her. I hope she gets it filled out soon and sends it in, gets her ballot and votes before it's too late.

Does anyone know if absentee ballots count on election day if the voter has died.

5. Yup!
Maine, and we are going to be swinging for Kerry!

I was at an Edwards "town hall" event a couple of weekends ago. We were 2,500 people and there were about 25 LOSER Bush fans yelling from across the street. I was listening to people as we waited to go in, and it was amazing how these were people who have never been motivated to attend a political rally in their lives. The whole crowd was chanting "6 More Weeks!" when the Bush bozos were yelling "4 more years!"

Then the best part!

Someone from the Bush pack had a sign that said "Catholics for Bush".
Well, on our side of the street came along a mother and her four young (roughly ages 4-9) children holding up a sign that said "Catholic Families for Kerry"

Then these children started chanting right across the street from the Bush pack: "W stands for WAR, W stands for WAR!!" It was so amazing to hear that chant in childrens' voices. Very moving.

Stories like that warm my heart and make me think there is indeed hope for America.

8. Actually Maine was a Swing state in 2000
and went for Gore by 5.1%. And there wasn't this anti-War sentiment back then. Kerry will win Maine this time NO PROBLEM!
