Spineless dems lose the chance to make him REALLY lose it.
His little tantrum yesterday shows why they needed 32 pages of rules..

Dems make me sick for agreeing to them, and although they have my support, it's just sickening that they would capitulate instead of just going to the media and telling the truth about the pres who is unable to debate in a real format.

NO SPINE. thanks mcauliffe.

2. It was the only way to get three debates..
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 10:23 AM by kerryin2004
Remember presidents are really not the ones that need these..Carter only gave Reagan one and Clinton only gave Dole 2..The fact is without these we would never get to see how irrational and unstable our president really is.. To go from that stubling, bumbling fool last week to the wild eyed and crazed lunatic is a progression worth exposing no matter what the rules.. I can't wait to see which Bush shows up on Wed!

3. it's my glass..
I have no respect for centrist, pandering democrats who continue to fail and drive the party to the right because they are wimps who won't stand up for themselves.

Look at the voting records, who is really a progressive?

I dont' think kerry is all that, but he would absolutely wipe the floor with bush in a real debate format, and it needed to be driven home that W wouldn't agree to it. Instead we get these non-debate debates that show most people very little, and are obviously skewed to make W's weaknesses seem small.

sorry, i call em as i see em, and this one stinks. I don't care that kerry is "winning", i want a real goddamn debate.

4. You must be a Nader voter
I thought that the first debate between Kerry and Bush was one of the best in recent history. The political historians on PBS said the same thing.

Please understand that we have to work within the system to make changes. Getting rid of Bush is Step One. One of my favorite expressions: "When your house is on fire, that's not the time to redecorate."

5. What you say he should have done, from your armchair, could have backfired
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 10:37 AM by w4rma
easily. It's easy to yap about what someone *shoulda* *coulda* done, but you aren't the one standing in the middle of the ambush trying to fight off all the Repug dirty tricks while big media is egging your enemies on against you.

Also what you are talking about is the difference between a hail mary play that could get your ball intercepted and a standard rushing play, meant to more assuredly get you to 1st and down.
