25. Something really strange is going on
around the Rat and Andreanoff islands, about 200 KM apart. Both areas have had huge clusters of earthquakes, some of them quite strong.

Geology geek sites are wondering if there are a couple of new undersea vents opening up in the region. It would explain a lot.

The list for the Andreanoff Islands is at http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsus/Maps/AK2/50.52.-182.-178_eqs.php

It's pretty impressive.

2. Are there lots of gay people there? God must be punishing them.
Hopefully Pat Robertson will let us know what is on God's mind.

should update it, just adding an update.

As you said it is moving quickly, Another has already been added.

20. Oops - Latest Breaking rules are different from other forums
A posting is supposed to be an actual news article with the Subject header being the actual title of the article.

28. Not Abnormal For Aleutians
I spent a year on Adak, one of the Rat Islands about 3/4 of the way out from the mainland. In that year, we had earthquakes all the time, usually from 5's to 7's. Its not unusual for that island chain, as it sits directly on one of the most active fault lines in the world. And its never just one quake - there are usually more than a couple "aftershocks", which feel the same as the original quake sometimes. You get used to them, but the first one is weird - you learn to find level ground away from stuff that can fall. I remember that we sometimes got followup small tidal waves that hit after the quakes did, originating at the epicenter. The Navy was more worried about these than the quakes.

29. I lived on Adak as a kid for two years.
My father was stationed there. We had a couple of good shakers while we lived there. One night, they made us all go to higher ground because of fear of a tsunami.
After a couple of hours, they let us go home.

I remember being at home by myself one night and we got a pretty big earthquake. I remember standing in the doorway with my heart pounding like crazy!

the most recent plot with?

And what does it have to do with earth quakes?
