WHO suppressed scientific study into depleted uranium cancer fears

"An expert report warning that the long-term health of Iraq's civilian population would be endangered by British and US depleted uranium (DU) weapons has been kept secret.

The study by three leading radiation scientists cautioned that children and adults could contract cancer after breathing in dust containing DU, which is radioactive and chemically toxic. But it was blocked from publication by the World Health Organisation (WHO), which employed the main author, Dr Keith Baverstock, as a senior radiation advisor. He alleges that it was deliberately suppressed, though this is denied by WHO."

This is for the radical denialists around here who were stating that DU is inert because it is "depleted". Again I say, Bullshit!

How the hell are we going to get the damn oil now that we've turned the whole country into a glowing environmental disaster area?

And what is the answer to the poor bastards in our military that we sent over there with a death sentence from our own irresponsable and absolutely criminal weapons, the obvious source of various strains of "Gulf War Syndrome"? Not to mention all the Iraqi civilians who for generations will suffer birth defects and horrible cancers.

This was done in our name with our money and the blood is on our hands. A lot of karma to burn now. And you thought your personal share of the national debt was a bitch? Wait til Saint Peter hits you with your personal share of the national karmic debt at the pearly gates!

1. Who told WHO to ...
... suppress this information?

This should be of utmost concern for anyone with loved ones over there being exposed.

How many years did they deny GWS? How many years will they deny GWS II?

2. Corrupt medical establishment
will get us all.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer is an arm of the World Health Organization. It was once the most important research agency on cancer, but now it has been taken over by corporate interests - much like universities in the US. They are now using *"research openly or surreptitiously sponsored by industrial concerns." They have also changed their rules for disclosing conflicts of interest.

*from a letter signed by 24 scientist criticizing IARC policy.

Fasten your seatbelts - this agency prepares monographs that are uzed worldwide - we are all in trouble.

...Depleted Uranium "expert" on KGO radio. He's a smirky bootlicker who constantly skews science to favor the fascists at ChimpCo Inc.
