The invitation to prayer, below, was sent to me directly from someone I am proud to call a good friend. I asked his permission to pass it on and he agreed so long as I removed any references to specific people. If it strikes you, we invite you to join us, and if the spirit moves you, we invite you to pass this on to others as well.

Peace to all in this very troubled time from a few Citizens of this Mother Earth.

Dear Friends,

This is a response to many who have suggested we pray together at the Equinox.

The Spring Equinox is Monday, March 20 at 1:26 PM Eastern Time, 12:26 PM Central, 11:26 AM Mountain, 10:26 AM Pacific. This is a powerful time when the Earth and Sun are in Balance - the Earth hangs between Winter and Summer. Day and Night are exactly equal. Many of thousands of people will be in prayer at that very moment all around Mother Earth.

I was talking with a long-time friend today about the state of the world, and we both realized a major obstacle is the state of ignorance of most people as to the truth of what's going on around them. In our conversation, we realized the foundation stone of the lies being told around the world is the myth of 9/11. All of the wars, destruction of liberties, torture, activities of both political parties, most universities, the media, multinational corporations - all of them have signed on to the lies surrounding 9/11. If the Truth were to come out about that event, it could be the start of the collapse of all of those systems of destruction. I feel strongly that it would be good to pray for this to happen, and what better time than at the moment of the Spring Equinox?

So, I invite everyone to join in a moment of prayer - even if just for five minutes over the actual Equinox: a prayer for our Mother Earth, Humanity and all of our relatives in Creation. All of us praying together that the Truth be revealed for all to see.

Consider this teaching from Hopi Grandfather Dan Katchongva, as recorded by Tom Tarbet:

THE FATE OF HUMANITY

The Hopi play a key role in the survival of the human race, through their vital communion with the unseen forces that hold nature in balance, as an example of a practical alternative to the suicidal man- made system, and as a fulcrum of world events. The pattern is simple: The whole world will shake and turn red, and turn against those who are hindering the Hopi. The man-made system now destroying the Hopi culture is deeply involved in similar violations throughout the world. The devastating reversal predicted in the prophecies is part of the natural order. If those who thrive from that system, its money and its laws, can stop it from eliminating the Hopi way, then many may be enabled to survive the Day of Purification and enter a new age of peace. But if no one is left to continue the Hopi Way, the hope for such an age is in vain.

The forces we must face are formidable, but the only alternative is annihilation. Yet the man-made system cannot be corrected by any means that depends on forcing others to do one's will, for that is the source of the problem. If people are to correct themselves and their leaders, the gulf between the two must be eliminated. To accomplish this, one can only rely on the energy of truth itself.

This approach, which is the foundation of the Hopi Way, is the greatest challenge a mortal can face. Few are likely to accept it. But once peace is established on this basis, and our original way of life is allowed to flourish, we will be able to use our inventive capacity wisely, to encourage rather than threaten life, and benefit everyone rather than enrich a few at the expense of others. Concern for all living things will far surpass personal concerns, bringing greater happiness than could formerly be realized. Then all living things shall enjoy lasting harmony.
