C-130's wing survives hitting building
The Iranian C-130's wing that hits an apartment building survives a direct hit:

but both wings of a Boeing 757 that was said to have hit the Pentagon do not:

Hmmmmm?

Did Flight 77 really crash into the Pentagon?

1. Why didn't the Iranian building collapse when hit like WTC & Pentagon
Are buildings built stronger in Iran than in U.S.?

2. Maybe it was not hit like the WTC & Pentagon
Based on the very little detail posted it seems hardly the same. The C-130 was making an emergency landing not trying to fly as fast as possible into the building.

5. Was it the speed or the fuel that made the WTCs fall down?

I get so confused. Looks like there was plenty of fire at that Tehran apartment building.

4. Because it wasn't hit by a 797 going 1,000 mph
That had full wing tanks and a cargo load full of magnesium.

Or some other excuse like that.

7. boring
Where did the C-130 hit the Iranian building?

Reports have it as clipping the building at the top.

If you don't know that, you don't know anything yet.

So where was it?

8. Military planes are built stronger than civilian planes, for one...
Hell, an A-10 can fly with half a wing missing.

The C-130 was designed as a cargo plane to be used in combat operations (where it would take fire).

The 757 and 767 were designed to carry a lot of people and be lightweight (fuel-efficient).

The C-130 is also a 50-year-old design (closer to 60).

Think of it as the difference between the old steel soda cans and the new aluminum ones.
