Something very strange was inside one of Atta’s two bags that somehow didn’t make the connection and stucked in Boston : the passport of Abdulaziz Al Omari.
At least that is what Commission member (Senior Counsel & Team Leader) Susan Ginsburg said:
“A fourth passport was recovered from luggage that did not make it from a Portland flight to Boston on to the connecting flight which was American Airlines flight 11. This is the passport of Abdul Aziz al Omari.” http://www.9-11commission.gov/archive/hearing7/9-11Commission_Hearing_2004-01-26.htmThat the two bags belonged to Atta is stated in the FBI-affidavit.
http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/atta/resources/documents/fbiaffidavit10.htmGinsburg short statement was a revelation as so far media accounts only spoke of a “Saudi passport”
http://www.boston.com/news/packages/underattack/globe_stories/0915/Hijackers_may_have_taken_Saudi_identities+.shtml Why wasn’t it revealed before that this passport belonged to Al Omari?
And why, why is this passport not listed in the FBI-affidavit? But the very fact that Al Omari should have put or left his passport in Atta’s bag is strange to say the least.
The two had to fly from Portland to Boston in order to board AA 11. But in Boston they had to pass a security check again. It would have been to bad for Al Omari if he would have been asked at Logan to present his passport. Clearly it wouldn’t have been sufficient to answer that this passport is in a bag which is in the belly of a Boeing …..
Why, why did he run the risk not to have his passport with him? And last but not least:
If the FBI had already on September 11 (the bag was found on the day itself and the affidavit already written the next morning) their hands on Al Omari’s passport:
How then is the confusion between Abdulaziz from Hollywood and Abdulrahman from Vero Beach possible? For further detail to last question please check out the thread:
