What a great opportunity to get some historians, criminologists, physicists, and so on together for some international inter-disciplinary research on a topic of obvious significance! :-)

1. This question was for Paul Thompson...
Who I would expect to be working on such projects.

3. Ah.
I didn't know you were referring to me. I would repeat what the other posted asked: have there ever been any? If you're talking serious academia, look at the work of professor Peter Dale Scott. I know he's written some serious pieces relating to 9/11 that were published in journals recently, and he would know more about what's going on in the ivory tower.

2. Have there ever been any?
Most serious research on 9/11 seems like it has been totally outside the class of intellectual elite in this country (who are too busy repeating the official stories and myths). In addition to that, within the more or less serious community of researchers, there is a wide spectrum of opinion on "what really happened" - with all kinds of harsh criticism and personal attacks towards one another. I just don't know how it would be possible to get everyone together and begin to build some kind of consensus or anything. I'd like to see an effort made towards it, though.
