Vincent Scalice did work for a conservative group (Western Journalism Center, financed by Clinton hater Richard Melon Scaiffe). His work consisted in determining if Vince Foster's suicide note was genuine or forged. He concluded (along with two other experts hired by the group) that the note was forged. This despite the fact that the Park Police and the FBI determined the note was written by Foster as a genuine suicide note. See link
In the JFK case, a fingerprint expert named George Bonebrake, who once headed the FBI Fingerprinting Department, examined fingerprints allegedly made by Oswald in the trigger guard of the Mannlicher Carcano and determined the print was useless. Scalice magically found 18 points of identity between Oswald's known fingerprint card and the prints that the legendary Bonebrake said were not clear enough to examine. Bonebrake is not mentioned in Bugliosi's book while Scalice's finding is mentioned.
Whether the Foster-was-framed kook/expert was right or whether the George Bonebrake was right is an unanswered question. what do you guys think?
Both Scalice and Bonebrake were hired by PBS to examine the fingerprints. See their names in PBS' list of people who participated in the show:
