Deductive vs Inductive reasoning
Inductive and deductive reasoning are two methods of logic used to arrive at a conclusion based on information assumed to be true. Both are used in research to establish hypotheses.

Many people distinguish between two basic kinds of argument: inductive and deductive. Induction is usually described as moving from the specific to the general, while deduction begins with the general and ends with the specific; arguments based on experience or observation are best expressed inductively, while arguments based on laws, rules, or other widely accepted principles are best expressed deductively.

It is important to know which kind of formal system you are using and to stick to it. Inductive proofs are not allowed in a deductive system.

2. Congratulations! A hunch is the beginning of a hypothesis.
The flowering of the scientific method before our eyes.
Can you state your hunch in the form of a hypothesis?

3. I'll try...
I have a hunch that most of your hunches never get backed up by evidence.
I also have a hunch that monkeys trained by aliens smuggled thermate into the WTC and that is what took down the towers.
I don't need evidence for my hunch cuz I have a hunch it's true.

4. I have to disagree
I am almost certain it was aliens trained by monkeys that smuggled the thermate into the towers.

Monkeys with backpacks of thermite would be noticed by someone. Whereas aliens can blend in with the general population with ease.

5. You are the first to posit monkeys trained by aliens.
How shall we test your hypothesis?
